Story Time with the Good Witch
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- Artist Alissa Alfonso of Hollywood just completed her third photo shoot at the Humane Society of Broward County where 18 dogs and seven felines posed patiently in front of her camera. The theme for this series titled “Their Bags Are Packed” was inspired by the downsizing that is taking place at Alissa’s childhood home. Some of the suitcases and the trunk came from her parent’s home, while others were picked up along her travels. She created bandanas for the dogs and cats using vintage hankies and fabrics and the backdrop is a curtain from her daughter’s room.
With the help of HSBC volunteers, who helped get the animals settled and dished out treats to get them to hold their poses, Alissa was able to capture beautiful photos of animals who’ve have been patiently waiting to be adopted.
“The photos are unique, witty and original and we hope it will encourage people to browse our website often to see what Alissa has created,” said Cherie Wachter, VP of Marketing at the HSBC. To see the photos of the pets that are available visit www.humanebroward.com – the site is updated hourly.
The Humane Society of Broward County is open seven days a week and opens daily at 10:30 a.m. The shelter is at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. For more information call 954-989-3977.
