FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Museum of Discovery and Science will host the Mercedes-Benz Fort Lauderdale Marvels of MODS Gala on November 14, 2015 at 6 p.m. Guests will enjoy a spectacular evening of dining and dancing at the Museum located at 401 SW 2nd Street in Fort Lauderdale.

This year’s gala is Co-Chaired by Tom Angelo of Angelo and Banta, Jason Williams of Wells Fargo, Russell Klenet of Russ Klenet & Associates and Broward County Commissioner Stacy Ritter. The emcee for the evening’s festivities is Chris Van Vliet, WSVN Channel-7 Deco Drive entertainment reporter and three-time Emmy Award winner. 

This much anticipated event will host a sold out crowd of 650 guests who will experience an evening complete with high-energy cocktail reception, silent auction and delectable dinner & wine pairing.  Later in the evening, the MODS crowd will dance the night away and compete for some luxurious live auction items including a week at a luxury home in the exclusive Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica, an 11 day 5 Star tour of Italy and a week of Paradise in the Keys.

President/CEO Kim Cavendish stated, “The 2015 Marvels of MODS gala is one of Fort Lauderdale’s largest and most anticipated events of the year, raising funds to support STEM programs, dynamic exhibits and opportunities for MODS to inspire the next generation of visionaries.”

Sponsors and benefactors were recognized at  the exclusive Republic Services and Stiles Corporation Underwriters’ Party held on October 29, 2015 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.

All proceeds will benefit operations and programs at the Museum of Discovery and Science.
