FORT LAUDERDALE--The Fort Lauderdale Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., will tee it up for the 10th Annual Artis "Jack" Hall Kappa Golf Klassic on Saturday, April 21, 2012 starting at 1 pm at the Jacaranda Golf and Country Club located at 9200 West Broward Boulevard, Plantation, FL. The tournament benefits Broward County students by offering scholarships to Florida universities and colleges, supporting local youth mentoring programs and special educational needs. The tournament is hosted annually through the philanthropic arm of the fraternity, the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Inc.

It doesn't matter if you are as good as a PGA professional or a weekend golfer, the four-man scramble format offers; three flights, a longest drive, closest to the pin, and putting contest. Free range balls and a golf clinic are offered prior to the start of the tournament and a dinner, a silent auction, award ceremony and raffle prizes conclude the tournament.

The 10th Annual "Jack" Hall Kappa Golf Klassic is made possible due to the support of the members of the fraternity and generous sponsors including; Congressman Alcee Hastings, Sunrise Discount Pharmacy, The Dental Place, Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza and many more. The tax-deductible contribution for an individual golfer is $90, $360 for a 4-person team and $25 awards dinner for non golfers. The Golf Klassic continues to be one of the most enjoyable and successful golf tournaments through sponsorship packages starting at just $200.

The Kappa Foundation provided eleven scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 in 2011 to Broward County students and according to Jack Hall, "our Golf Klassic has exceeded our initial goals and this is one of the many ways we seek to inspire members and continue to provide quality services in our community as well as building strong communities through scholarships".
