Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert W. Runcie Like many students starting their first day of school, Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert W. Runcie will begin his day by riding a school bus. The Superintendent will board one of the District's recently purchased propane buses (98 in all) at the North Area Bus Transportation Terminal in Pompano Beach.
The Superintendent's day will continue with several school visits, where he will welcome parents, students, teachers and staff to the 2014/15 school year. As he makes his way across the District, Superintendent Runcie will have breakfast with students at Westchester Elementary School in Coral Springs, and lunch with students at Pembroke Lakes Elementary School in Pembroke Pines.
The Superintendent will also host an opening day news conference to discuss the events of the first day and kick-off of the new school year.
