Broward County Mayor Tim Ryan will deliver the annual State of the County address on Tuesday, November 17th beginning at 10 a.m. in the Broward County Commission Chambers, 115 South Andrews Avenue, Room 422, in Fort Lauderdale.
After the State of the County address, the Commission will select a new Mayor and Vice Mayor to serve through November 2016. The Mayor's functions include serving as presiding officer and as the County's official representative. The Broward County Charter stipulates that Commissioners, elected from single member districts, vote on the third Tuesday in November for the leadership positions.
