The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show sails into town today through November 7, bringing more than 1,000 exhibitors; $4 billion worth of marine vessels and merchandise; and an astonishing economic output of $857 million. As the world's largest in-water boat show, this mega event generates hundreds of millions of dollars in marine commerce, showcases our City to a worldwide audience, and provides a tremendous economic boost to our local businesses.

As we welcome more than 130,000 visitors from around the world, we recognize that the Boat Show brings unique challenges with regard to beach access, pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and waterway operations. As such, we remind our neighbors to review the important advisories below, and encourage everyone to exercise additional patience and consideration during the next few days to help ensure a successful event.

Traffic Information

Expect vehicular traffic to be heavy in the vicinity of the Boat Show. Roadways that may be particularly impacted are State Road A1A between S.E. 17th Street and E. Sunrise Boulevard, as well as E. Sunrise Boulevard from N.E. 20th Avenue to Bayview Drive.

Illegal Parking Lots

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department reminds neighbors that selling parking on private residential property is prohibited and enforcement will take place throughout the event.
