Suggested Alternative Routes:
• North/South travel: Use Federal Highway and I-95
• East/West travel: Use Broward Boulevard, 17th Street Causeway and Davie Boulevard around Downtown Fort Lauderdale
Just before the Parade gets underway, Santa checks the route from a helicopter fly-by from the United States Coast Guard along the New River and the Intracoastal to see who is naughty and who is nice. Fireworks will herald the beginning of the Parade.
Areas near the New River on the Intracoastal will be closed to boat traffic at 4:30 p.m. until the end of the Parade.
Areas to the north (Oakland Park Blvd. and north) close at 5:20 p.m. until after the Parade.
The New River will be closed to boat traffic at 2:30 p.m. from Channel Marker 9 to the South Fork near Davie Boulevard and along the North Fork west of SW 11th Avenue.
"No anchor zones" will extend throughout the New River from no anchor zone Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
Our host hotel is the Riverside Hotel, which will accommodate the live broadcast and filming of our annual television special and judges.
Plan on anchoring your boat north of the triangle to view the Parade. Please see www.WinterfestParade.com for further details and a Google Earth virtual map of the Parade.
