Ghost Light Society

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- On Saturday, October 10, 2015, the Ghost Light Society will host the sixth annual Ghost Light Society Soirée: Havana Nights! to benefit the arts-in-education programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Guests won’t need a passport to enjoy an evening filled with the sights and sounds of Cuba, including delicious fare, premium cocktails at an open bar, live entertainment, dancing and more at the Parker Playhouse, 707 NE 8th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.

“We look forward to introducing more of South Florida’s young professionals to the arts and cultural opportunities in our community, and there is no better way to make an introduction than with our signature annual event: the Ghost Light Society Soirée,” said event co-chair Tim Cronin of Sun Trust Bank. 

The mission of the Ghost Light Society is to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to take an active role in promoting, celebrating and supporting the performing arts.  To date, the annual Ghost Light Society Soiree has raised more than $175,000 to support the Broward Center’s innovative, award-winning arts-in-education programs that engage more than 150,000 students in the community each year and enable them to learn in effective and creative ways. 

“The Ghost Light Society is thrilled to support and shine a ‘light’ on the incredible arts-in-education programming and events available for children of all ages at the Broward Center,” said event co-chair Shayna Freyman of GrayRobinson.
