FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The 2015-16 Family Fun Series at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts opens with Spot, a colorful, interactive program featuring charming characters, plush puppets and upbeat songs in the Amaturo Theater on Sunday, October 11 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Based on the popular book series by Eric Hill, this production, designed to captivate children ages three to seven, takes the audience on a musical romp to the farm where all the animals are missing. Spot and his friend Helen need the audience’s help to find the animals and bring them back.
The Family Fun Series features beloved children’s books that come to colorful life in delightful musical adventures. Affordably priced for the entire family, every Family Fun show includes free pre-show face painting and art activities from Young at Art Museum, along with complimentary post-show snacks.
Spot is produced by Kids’ Entertainment which, for more than 22 years, has presented shows that educate and inspire young audiences.
The series continues with A Christmas Carol (Dec. 5), Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are In A Play!” (Jan. 17), Pinkalicious (Feb. 6) and Junie B’s Essential Survival Guide to School (May 1). Family Fun performances are also presented at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.
Tickets for each production are priced at $16 for individuals ($18 the day of the show); $14 for groups of ten or more; and $3 lap seats for infants 12 months or younger.
