MIAMI, FL  -- In its continued support of the flourishing culture and arts community in South Florida, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate has announced it is sponsoring the Bass Museum of Art’s bassX project, “Eternity Now” by renowned Swiss contemporary artist Sylvie Fleury, which will debut during Miami Art Week. The sponsorship is part of a larger relationship between Bass Museum of Art and Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate that will be unfolding in the coming months.

“Supporting the arts community is of great importance to Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate,” said Duff Rubin, regional senior vice president, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Southeast Florida. “Art and real estate continue to become increasingly intertwined. Many developments/homes incorporate art as one of their defining features, and it’s important for us, as well as buyers and sellers, to appreciate the arts community.”

“Eternity Now” is a new site-specific neon art installation on the façade of the Bass Museum of Art. The project, which produces commentary on consumer society and cultural desire, will be on view from Dec. 2, 2015—May 31, 2016. Underlying the glowing text’s positive affirmation is a demand for permanence within the present. The work literally brings to light the tension of an artist’s struggle to create artwork whose relevance is sustained from the present into perpetuity.

Leading Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate agents will attend a private dinner on Dec. 1, in honor of Sylvie Fleury and her new work. Bass Museum of Art and Collins Park are located at 2100 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach.
