If you've never visited Flamingo Gardens, or desire to visit again, now is a perfect opportunity. Celebrating 85 years, Flamingo Gardens is one of the oldest botanical gardens in South Florida. The 60 acre not-for-profit botanical garden contains over 3000 tropical and sub-tropical species, including some of the largest trees of their species and the largest tree in Florida. The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary at Flamingo Gardens is home to the largest collection of Florida native wildlife in the state with over 90 species represented.

A great place to spend a Saturday with the family, Flamingo Gardens was voted "Best Outdoor Activity in Broward County" in the South Florida Parenting Magazine's Readers Poll, and named one of the "Top 10 Places to Take the Kids" by ABC Channel 10's Viewers Poll for 2012.

On Saturday, September 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2012, admission will be slashed to $6 for both adults and children ages 4 and up. Children 3 and under, and members of Flamingo Gardens, are admitted free.
