Fort Lauderdale, FL – In October of 2015 J.R. Dunn jewelers kicked off a year-long promotion entitled “Diamond in the Ruff” with the Humane Society of Broward County. As longtime supporters of the shelter, the Dunn Family wanted to create true love - by sponsoring pet adoptions so that more dogs and cats could find happy homes. Each week a pet in need was featured on both the J.R.Dunn and HSBC facebook pages. Through sharing and promoting 50 pets were placed!
As a result of the huge success, the Dunn family has decided to continue the program for another year! According to Sean Dunn, “we are absolutely thrilled with the results from this unique program, and to know that we helped so many animals find their forever families is truly heartwarming. We would encourage other businesses to get involved with a charity that is important to them or even become a sponsor for animals in need. Working with the team at the Humane Society of Broward County has been wonderful and we look forward to helping more pets in need.”
The program has already kicked off and will again feature 52 pets over the next 12 months. J.R. Dunn will underwrite the entire adoption fee for that dog, puppy, cat or kitten. Diamond in the Ruff will be promoted through J.R. Dunn’s local radio spots and social media, and the HSBC will do its share of promotion as well.
What a fabulous way to put their money where their heart is, and to bring attention to all the amazing dogs and cats that are so ready to be loved. Furry little diamonds in the rough – just waiting for their “perfect setting!”
