WILTON MANORS, FL -- Online registration is now open for Poverello's highly anticipated charity bowl-a-thon, "Bowling to Fight Hunger", presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, is one of the highlights of summer for Poverello supporters and the LGBT community at large. The charity bowl-a-thon will be held on August 3rd at Sawgrass Lanes in Tamarac. Transportation will be available to and from the venue, via party bus with several stops in Wilton Manors. Registered bowlers and virtual bowlers are also invited to attend several exciting launch events, including the "STRIKE" Out Hunger launch party on July 26th. Register online at www.HungerFighter.org.

Teams consist of 5 bowlers. For those who want to participate and do not have a team, simply register as an individual and we will place you with a team. There is also the "Virtual Bowler" option for those who want to take part in the fun, but not big fans of bowling. For this group, register as an individual first. The system will then give an option for 'Virtual Bowler. All registered bowlers of either type will be given their very own personal page they can use to help raise funds. There are incentive prizes for high score, most teams under from the same organization, most money raised. There will also be competitions between bars, Realtors, restaurants and attorneys.

"We have totally revamped this year's bowlathon. Most importantly, we've changed the name to, 'Bowling to Fight Hunger', so as to more clearly convey what the event is all about. Proceeds go to fight hunger, HIV / AIDS and poverty in our community", points out Nathan Earl, Poverello's new Development Director. "Other exciting changes include a dynamic interactive event website with peer2peer fundraising capabilities, robust marketing and advertising, 3 launch events and a new trophy design."

Limited sponsorship opportunities are still available and can be viewed and secured online at http://www.HungerFighter.org, or by calling Nathan Earl at 954-663-3879, ext 115.
