FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Humane Society of Broward County recently hosted their annual Diamond Collar Society event at the magnificent estate home of Marti and Wayne Huizenga. A record number of guests attended the gathering which raised $91,000 net for the Humane Society of Broward County. Guests enjoyed mingling at the tropical themed event which included fabulous refreshments and live entertainment.
The Diamond Collar Society plays an important role in supporting the shelter and the animals it cares for. Members are both supporters of the day-to-day operations of the facility and goodwill ambassadors throughout the community. Since inception in 2001, the Diamond Collar Society has raised over $1,400,000 for the shelter. Membership is offered at four levels, starting with a Patron Level ($1,000 annually) and increasing to $10,000 annually. For membership information please contact Kathy Tricomi 954-266-6845.
It is because of the support of the Diamond Collar Society and the numerous individuals and corporations that believe in and contribute to the Humane Society that the shelter is able to provide programs and services for our community and its animals.
The Humane Society of Broward County is a private non-profit animal welfare organization supported by donations from people and companies who care about animals.
