FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Leadership Broward Foundation (LBF) honored six Broward County leaders during the 2015 Profiles in Leadership Gala hosted by the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six Resort & Spa and presented by Broward College and Miller Construction. The Gala raised $163,000 for educational programming and initiatives for the non-profit organization.

Recognized for their talent and resources in helping to make Broward County a great place to live and work were Margaret Callihan, Chairman, President & CEO, SunTrust South Florida; Traci Miller, VP Business Development, Miller Construction; Carlos Molinet, Senior VP, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau; Robert Runcie, Superintendent, Broward County Schools; and Tom & Maureen Shea, President and CEO, Right Management.

The Excellence in Leadership Special Recognition Award was awarded to Lesley Warrick from Seafarers House and the Excellence in Leadership Outstanding Achievement Award was presented to the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six Resort & Spa. Both were recognized for their commitment to the community.

The gala, which was themed Rainforest Rendezvous, was co-chaired by Leadership Broward Foundation co-chairs Norvel Bethel, JM Family Enterprises, Inc.; Adriana Fazzano, Broward College; Maria Johnston, AT&T; and Cariann Moore, American Lung Association-Florida. Shelly Bradshaw from the Broward Center for the Performing Arts is the Foundation’s Vice President of Special Events and also worked with the co-chairs.

More than 400 guests were in attendance. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, an over-the-top live and silent auction, a special tribute to the honorees and live entertainment by Gregory Griffith Productions.
