Guests enjoyed an evening of eye candy -- spectacular cars on display and exciting casino-style games. Accompanying the fun was an open bar, delicious food, and music by Sarz Entertainment.

As they arrived, The Fast and Furriest attendees were greeted by one of the shelter’s adoption ambassador dogs – a dog that is available for adoption as it spends time in a special volunteer home. Those guests checking in during the cocktail hour received 2,500 in free gaming chips to spend during the first hour of gaming. There was also a silent auction, and casino game players were able to cash in their chips for Chinese auction tickets. A fabulous prize drawing was held during the evening for the chance to win a Maserati for the weekend – Charlie Fox was the lucky winner!

Sponsors and underwriters of The Fast and Furriest included: Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale, Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, Clint Strauch, Dawn and Peter Dellapina, Ingrid & Brian Poulin, Christy and Andy Gumberg, Stiles Corporation, Poker Pooches (Margaret and Mike Meldeau, Tari and Ed Collins, Lucy and Gerry Weber), Damaris and Steve Jensen, Darlene and Dennis Jordan, Jane “Buzz” and Ken Czubay, Bonnie and Alex Muxo, Cindy and Howard Greenberg, Little’s Photography and Casino Party Nights Florida, Inc.
