The Broward County School Board is developing a student outcomes focused approach to governance to improve what students know and can do with the knowledge and skills they acquire at Broward County Public Schools (BCPS). To inform the community and gain input regarding this new approach, the Board is hosting three community meetings on various dates and locations throughout the county. The feedback from community members will help inform the priorities and goals for the District’s Strategic Plan.
The meetings are open to all Broward County residents, including parents, guardians, caregivers, students, staff and community members.
They take place on the following dates and locations:
Monday, April 25, 6 p.m.
Northeast High School
700 N.E. 56th Street, Oakland Park, FL 33334
Thursday, April 28, 6 p.m.
McArthur High School
6501 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, FL 33024
Wednesday, May 4, 6 p.m.
Plantation High School
6901 N.W. 16th Street, Plantation, FL 33313
Following a presentation by School Board members, attendees will have the opportunity to share their feedback about the Board’s new governance approach through a real-time, live polling feature and a community survey. The responses will help the Board ensure the community has a clear understanding of the concepts and approach being implemented.
