We're accepting applications for Class 10 of the Neighbor Leadership Academy (NLA) through Friday, April 8. Our NLA builds community by educating neighbors about various city functions and equipping them with skills to become effective neighborhood leaders. Over the course of five weeks, participants will learn about:

• City Structure and Climate Resiliency
• Budgeting and Innovation
• Ethics and Technology
• Public Safety and Emergency Management
• Community Engagement and Fort Lauderdale’s Future

To be considered, applicants must be

1. at least of 18 years of age
2. a Fort Lauderdale resident
3. willing to commit to all five workshops (Wednesday evenings April 13-May 17 from 6-8 p.m.)
4. able to participate in a class community project with a minimum commitment of 5 hours
