On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to all those who lost their lives giving the highest form of service to our country, defending our ideals, and preserving our peace. We express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to these heroic men and women, along with their families and loved ones, for their steadfast resolve and selfless sacrifice to our nation.
On Monday, May 28, please join us for one of two Memorial Day Ceremonies taking place in our City - a 9:00 a.m. tribute at Lauderdale Memorial Park followed by an 11:00 a.m. ceremony at the Sandy Nininger Statue on the Riverwalk (see flyers below for details).
Attending a Memorial Day Ceremony is a wonderful way to show our appreciation and thanks to the brave members of our United States Armed Forces, while ensuring the blood they shed on our behalf will never be forgotten.
Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, and please keep our soldiers in your thoughts and prayers.
