FORT LAUDERDALE – Described as “simply amazing” by the Chicago Tribune, illusionist Bill Blagg, comes to the Parker Playhouse on Friday, October 27 for an 8 p.m. evening performance and a special JM Family Enterprises Smart Stage Matinee at 10 a.m.

In the evening performance, The Magic of Bill Blagg Live, Blagg makes audience volunteers levitate in mid-air, while making others vanish in a blink of an eye during an original, action-packed show featuring new mind-blowing, grand-scale magic and illusions along with audience participation and comedy.

One of the nation’s top illusionists, Blagg prides himself in performing new, never-before-seen illusions such as the world's only rideable hoverboard.  He is also known for instantly teleporting across theaters, squishing his body from six feet to six inches tall and passing through the blades of an industrial fan.

Blagg was only five years old when he received a beginner's magic set. His first big break occurred in 1998 at the Abbott Magic Get-Together in Colon, Michigan, when he became the youngest contestant to win the Adult Stage Competition with his now signature effect, The Dancing Hank.

Tickets are $26–$36 for the evening performance.

Recommended for grades 3–6 as a JM Family Enterprises Smart Stage Matinee, Bill Blagg in The Science of Magic is designed to excite, educate, intrigue and encourage students to think outside the box and ignite their curiosity about how science and the scientific method can be used by magicians.

JM Family Enterprises Smart Stage Matinees offers literature-based shows that promote reading skills and S.T.E.A.M. (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) to make challenging concepts accessible to younger learners.

Tickets to the school day performance are $7.20 with $3 lap seats for infants 12-months or younger.
