FORT LAUDERDALE – The Broward Center for the Performing Arts presents Glen Phillips of Toad of the Wet Sprocket on Saturday, April 14 at 8 p.m. in the Abdo New River room. Tickets are on sale now.
Phillips’ performance is a part of the Broward Center’s Second Story Sessions, a series of shows in the Abdo New Room that provide audiences with an intimate club setting. Phillips has always been a courageous and inviting songwriter. During his years as lead singer of Toad the Wet Sprocket, the band’s elegant folk/pop sound and his honest, introspective lyrics helped him forge a close bond with their fans. Since starting his solo career, Phillips has pared his music down to its emotional core, concentrating on the simple truths of love and relationships, with a profound spiritual understanding.
Starting one hour prior to the performances held at the Broward Center and during intermission, sumptuous sandwiches, salads, snacks and desserts are available for purchase with convenient walk-up service. A full cash bar is also available.
Tickets to the performance are $32.50 with VIP tickets available for $52.50 which include a meet and greet, premium seating and other exclusives.
