FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward County is filled with highly accomplished alumni from its public schools- movers and shakers in the community and in education. Broward Education Foundation is seeking nominations of outstanding community luminaries and champions in education for its 2018 Hall of Fame Awards.

Nominations are accepted through Friday, July 6 for the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to an alumnus who has made an indelible mark in the community; the Outstanding Achievement Award, presented to alumni who have made significant achievements in any field; and the Education Achievement Award, presented to alumni who have dedicated their careers to public education. Nomination forms are available at www.browardedfoundation.org/nominate.

Broward Education Foundation’s Hall of Fame Awards were created in 2013 to highlight graduates of Broward County Public Schools who have made positive contributions to education, the community and have achieved success in their careers.

Hall of Fame winners last year included Keith Koenig, president and CEO of City Furniture; Lisa Scott Founds, president and CEO of Winterfest; Max Osceola, Jr., Native American issues consultant; Shane Strum, senior vice president of Memorial Healthcare System; James F. Griffin II, Lauderdale Lakes Middle School principal; Patrick McQuaid, Nova High School athletic director; and Elaine Saef, Panther Run Elementary School principal.

“We are very proud to shine a light on significant achievements of distinguished Broward County Public Schools graduates,” said Shea Ciriago, Broward Education Foundation Executive Director. “We look forward to recognizing another group of remarkable alumni this year.”
