The Wasie FoundationFORT LAUDERDALE, FL., May 1 -- As part of its ongoing series, The Wasie Foundation and Signature Grand are pleased to announce that they will host four fabulous “Dinner with Philanthropists” events at the elegant Wasie Villa in 2012.  “Dinner with Philanthropists” is an exclusive dinner series that recognizes local philanthropists and non-profit organizations in South Florida.  The four upcoming dinners taking place in June and September will benefit the Jack and Jill Children’s Center on Wednesday, June 20th; Kids in Distress on Wednesday, June 27th; The 17th Annual AT&T Jeb Bush Classic/Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Wednesday, September 12th and Joe DiMiaggio’s Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, September 19th.

Jen Klaassens, Vice President of Programs for The Wasie Foundation, created the “Dinner with Philanthropists” program, along with CEO Arlene Pecora of the Signature Grand, as a way to honor local philanthropists and charities for all that they do for our community.  The Wasie Foundation and Signature Grand collaborate to identify pillars of the community who are invited to host a dinner for a charity or cause near and dear to their hearts.  The local notable or business leader is then invited to host an exclusive seven course dinner for 18 at the elegant Wasie Villa.  In fact, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will be hosting “Dinner with Philanthropists” benefiting the AT&T Jeb Bush Classic/Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Wednesday, September 12th. The exquisite gourmet dinners are prepared by Signature Grand Executive Chef David DeLeon and Sous Chef Jessica Simon.

The dinners are a way to combine the entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit with wonderful cuisine and libations in a beautiful, intimate setting.   The dinners also give non-profits an opportunity to thank their special supporters. “Dinner with Philanthropists” already hosted extraordinary dinners for Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women's Center at Holy Cross HealthPlex, Women in Distress, Boys & Girls Clubs Big Wheel Members and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
