FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Michael Goodman, founder of GPR | Goodman Public Relations, will be honored for his community and philanthropic efforts during the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s Eighth Annual Hot Hollywood Glam fundraiser, “Hot Havana Nights on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This special event will take place at the center’s gallery, located at 1650 Harrison St. in Hollywood.

As the sole award recipient during this annual event, Goodman will be recognized for his years of service to many South Florida organizations, as well as his passion for the arts. He has served on the board of the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood since 2006 and is currently an honorary member.

“I am truly humbled to be recognized by this outstanding cultural arts organization for my years of community service,” said Goodman. “To truly love what you do and then to be acknowledged for it is an amazing gift.”

In addition to proudly serving the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, Goodman is a current board member of ARC Broward and Neighbors 4 Neighbors, board secretary of the Florida Theatrical Association and vice-chair of the City of Wilton Manors Community Affairs Advisory Board. His past community engagement includes board and other leadership roles in support of the African American Research Library, ArtServe, City of Oakland Park, Family Central, Harvey Milk Foundation, Junior Achievement, Leadership Broward Foundation, The Pride Center, Poverello, United Way and more.

“Hot Havana Nights” will transform the Center’s contemporary art gallery and whisk guests away to a Havana Night Club circa the 1950s. The annual soiree will feature a full bar, creative foods and live entertainment, including showgirls, a cigar roller, a Cuban coffee station and a selection of vintage cars. Guests can also bid on great items such as hotel packages, restaurant gift certificates and more during the silent auction.
