usta logoFORT LAUDERDALE -- The City of Fort Lauderdale will host the 2012 USTA National Boys’ 14 Clay Court Championships July 15-20 at the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center, located at 701 N.E. 12th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. This is the premier tournament in the United States for boys ages 14 and under.
 
The USTA National Boys’ 14 Clay Court Championships consists of a 128-player singles compass draw and a 64-team doubles draw with no consolation.
 
Schedule of Events
Sunday, July 15 - Singles Play Begins
Monday, July 16 - Singles Play Continues and Doubles Play Begins
Tuesday, July 17 - Play Continues
Wednesday, July 18 - Play Continues, West Finals and South Finals
Thursday, July 19 - Main Draw – East Singles Semifinals, North Finals, Northeast Finals, Southwest Finals,        Southeast Finals, Silver Finals, Gold Finals, Doubles Final and Playoff
Friday, July 20 - Main Draw - East Final and Playoff
 
The City of Fort Lauderdale is proud to host this prestigious event, which draws many of the top players from around the country. Notable past participants include Andy Roddick, Jim Courier, MaliVai Washington, Vince Spadea, Tommy Ho, Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan, Justin Gimelstob, Paul Goldstein, Taylor Dent and Donald Young.
 
The Jimmy Evert Tennis Center is the City of Fort Lauderdale’s premier tennis facility and is recognized as one of the nation’s finest.  Its rich and distinguished history includes providing outstanding programming and tennis instruction to thousands of youth and adults and contributing to the development of numerous tennis professionals, such as Chris Evert and Jennifer Capriati.
