FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Humane Society of Broward County will soon begin renovations at the shelter which can lead to great savings for you!  During the month of September you can adopt any dog over 50 pounds for $50 and adopt any kitten 6 months or younger for $5.00!  If you adopt a feline over 6 months there is no adoption fee.
 
All pets will be spayed or neutered before they leave the shelter.  In addition they receive preliminary vaccinations, a microchip, 14 day health care plan courtesy of VCA Animal Hospital, dogs over 7 months are tested for heartworm; cats are tested for feline leukemia, a flea/tick preventative treatment, a bag of Purina ONE food and more.
 
The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road and adoption hours are Monday - Saturday 10 - 6:30 and Sunday 10 - 5:30.    The Humane Society also has pets available for adoption seven days a week at the PETCO in Boca Raton, at the corner of Glades Road and 441; PETCO in South Miami located at 6200 S.
