broward schoolsBroward County Public Schools (BCPS) kicks off the second annual Next Gen Engage series of community conversations led by students, on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at South Plantation High School, 1300 Paladin Way, Plantation, FL 33317.

The Next Gen Engage town hall series, launched last year, aims to ask for and listen to input from students about their future, and what they think school leaders should do to support and prepare them for success.

This year, Next Gen Engage introduces Coffee and Conversation with Superintendent Robert W. Runcie.  This program is intended to give students, parents, staff and community members the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Superintendent and District staff.

“Engaging our students, parents and community is critical to ensuring that we are making the best decisions to move our District in the right direction,” said BCPS Superintendent Robert W. Runcie. “We value their input and perspective. Their voices matter.”

The Next Gen Engage series takes place throughout the seven School Board member districts. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to join the conversation. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at each event. Coffee and Conversation begin at 5 p.m., and the student-led Next Gen Engage conversation begins at 5:30 p.m.
