Amber Tidwell, Gregory Cartier

Linda Oliver of Ann Arbor, MI and Donald Tidwell of Memphis, TN are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Tidwell of Fort Lauderdale to Gregory Cartier of Fort Lauderdale.

Ms. Tidwell and Mr. Cartier met on Match.com and plan to be married in October on Islamorada, with planning for additional details still in progress.

Ms. Tidwell attended Northeast High School and holds an associate degree in graphic design from Broward College and a bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She is a creative designer at the Sun Sentinel.

The groom attended Fort Lauderdale High School and Maritime Professional Training. He is a first mate on the Motor Yacht Destiny. He is the son of Tom Cartier of Vermont and Heather Cartier of Troy, NY.

The best man will be Captain Barney Heath, of the Motor Yacht Destiny, Greg's best friend and coworker of three years. Heath's two children, Ivy and Owen (who will be in the wedding as well), and his wife Patty will be in attendance.

The maid of honor is Mrs. Celena King, Amber's best friend of 17 years and a newlywed herself. Her two children, Michael and Tyler, and husband William will all participate in the wedding.
