FORT LAUDERDALE – From cha-cha to swing and samba, five top business and community leaders are rehearsing their moves for the Fourth Annual “Dancing with the Stars of Broward” fundraiser on April 14, benefiting The Pantry of Broward. Proceeds from the dinner and dance show will help provide food and other support services to seniors on low, fixed incomes and grandparents raising their grandchildren.
Modeled after the popular national TV show, Dancing with the Stars of Broward pairs each local celebrity with a professional dance instructor.  Each pair will take the stage for two high-energy routines Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.
This year’s local celebrity dancers are Laurina Anderson, ‘The Energy Shifter’ life and energy coach; Marc Cannon, senior vice president of corporate communications, AutoNation, Inc.;  Susan Renneisen, director of special events, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; Johnny Williams, managing partner, ProMotion Sports & Entertainment; and Katrina Wright, vice president of community relations, Bank of America.

Tickets, which are $200 per person, are available by calling Terrence Smalley at The Pantry of Broward at 954-358-1481, ext. 113 or ordering online at www.thepantryofbroward.org
Gale Butler of AutoNation and Ginny Miller of Miller Construction are again teaming to chair this popular production.  Judges will include former Dancing with the Stars of Broward 2011 celebrity dancers Gary Correll, Jen Klaassens, Traci Miller, Nathalie Pozo, and Twan Russell, who will offer commentary on the performances.  The real voices, though, come from the audience members, who can purchase votes for $1 each.
Sponsors include Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Publix, AutoNation, Premier Beverage, Bimini Boat Yard, Sixth Star Entertainment, WLRN Radio, Career Connection, Carroll’s Jewelers, QuinnProQuo, Smith & Knibbs Public Relations, 1st Financial Bank, PCI and SBBS.  Sponsorships also are available by calling Terrence Smalley at 954-358-1481 x113 or Terrence@thepantryofbroward.org.

The event’s silent auction offers some rare opportunities, including lunch with business legend Wayne Huizenga; use of a private Marlins Ballpark suite for a game; four tickets to the “Live! with Kelly” TV show in New York City; and dinner at the Bistro in the Sky Penthouse, Fort Lauderdale.
The Pantry of Broward, a non-profit organization, provides food and other support services to more than 425 clients throughout Broward County.  Founded in 2008, The
Pantry of Broward agency is as a nutritional safety net for local seniors in need, many of whom are raising their grandchildren.   For information and volunteer opportunities: www.thepantryofbroward.org.
