Broward SchoolsBroward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert W. Runcie will hold a press conference on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11:45 a.m. to announce plans for the District's first military academy.

With the overriding theme: Discipline + Academic Challenges = Student Success, the program's introduction will include discussion on the military academy's vision, objectives, purpose, goals and admissions criteria.

The press conference will be held at the military academy site, Hollywood Hills High School (5400 Stirling Road, Hollywood).

Superintendent Runcie will be joined by School Board members, military academy personnel and JROTC cadets as he announces this initiative to provide new high school opportunities for interested parents and students.

Directions: The entry to the press conference site will be off of Sarazen Street, which borders the East side of the Hollywood Hills Campus. Turn South off of Stirling Road and go to the school gate at the rear of the campus. School security will be there to direct those attending (see attached map).
