SiskindHarris C. Siskind. PEMBROKE PARK, Fl – Paco Vélez, CEO of Feeding South Florida™, is pleased to announce that Harris C. Siskind, a resident of Weston, Fla., has been appointed to Feeding South Florida’s Board of Directors for one three-year term.  
 
The Board of Directors at Feeding South Florida is a dedicated and passionate group of individuals committed to the mission of ending hunger in South Florida. According to Feeding South Florida’s records, 949,910 individuals in South Florida struggle to put food on the table; 296,600 of those are children. The food insecurity rate in South Florida is 17 percent, with Florida having the fifth highest food insecurity rate in the United States.
 
Siskind, who grew up in Miami-Dade County and has spent most of his life in South Florida, is a partner of the law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP, based in the firm's Miami office. He is also head of the firm's Miami corporate practice, as well as co-chair of the firm's Private Equity practice. He is recognized as one of the leading lawyers in his field by leading legal directories including Chambers USA and The Legal 500.

Siskind, his wife and two children are very involved with the Jewish Federation of Broward County and the Touch A Heart Foundation. Siskind is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law in Gainesville, Fla.; Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. and North Miami Beach Senior High School in Miami, Fla.
