FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Leadership Broward is seeking project proposals from Broward County’s community agencies and non-profit organizations for Leadership Broward Class XXXVII. The deadline for submitting a project proposal application is Friday, August 17.

Leadership Broward’s community projects, an integral component of the adult Leadership Broward program, are designed to create meaningful, positive change in Broward County by supporting worthy nonprofit and community organizations, while developing teamwork and leadership skills of the class members participating in each group. Each year, the class contributes 4,500 volunteer hours valued at $200,000 to the community. Ideally, projects are sustainable and make a long-term difference in our community. 

All ideas are welcomed but must fit the following qualifying criteria:

• Agency must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving residents in Broward County or a government agency serving the residents of Broward.  Please provide a copy of the organization's current IRS tax-exempt determination letter.
• Agency may not have any staff enrolled as a member of LB Class XXXVII.
• If the agency was selected for a Community Project by the previous year's LB Class (XXXVI), the agency is not eligible to apply for this year's project and must wait until the following year.
• Agency must provide its most recent audited financial statement or filed IRS Form 990 and a project budget.
• Representatives of the agency must be available for an interview (phone/in-person) with Community Project Committee.

The project proposal application must be returned to Leadership Broward Foundation’s office, 1421 SE 4th Ave., Suite D in Fort Lauderdale, by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 17 or can be emailed to apply@leadershipbroward.org.
