City of Fort Lauderdale crews are performing emergency repairs to a 16” water main break at Las Olas Boulevard and Bontona Avenue. Properties in the area will experience low water pressure and temporary water service interruptions. The work is expected to take approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete.
As a precaution, the City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is issuing a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE to the area highlighted on the map below.
This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.
Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
