FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- PetSet stirred up excitement and shook things up at their 11th annual Moonlight and Martinis event presented by SUBARU of Pembroke Pines. This fabulous event, which took place at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale on May 31, was a huge success. Event Chairs Danielle Peters, Michael Puck and Denise Weitzel were thrilled to learn that over $11,600 was raised for the animals at the Humane Society of Broward County.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by Bella, who is an animal assisted therapy dog. Guests then continued on to view the amazing items available in the silent auction as they nibbled on delicious hors d’oeuvres and sipped on Grey Goose Cherry Noir martinis and ice cold Bud Light Platinum beer. DJ Chris Cruz also kept the party going with his tunes and had the guests up on their feet dancing the night away.
Another exciting addition to the event was the “Martini Battle” taking place between local hot spots 3030 Ocean, Steak 954, American Social and Blue Martini. Each venue created a Grey Goose Cherry Noir specialty martini and offered a sample to each guest. Guests then had the opportunity to vote for their favorite martini. After all of the votes were counted, American Social was crowned the Martini Battle Champion with their Cherry Lime Pie Martini which gained a lot of attention from the guests, not only for of the delicious ingredients, but also with the bruleed marshmallow garnish.
Moonlight and Martinis was proudly sponsored by SUBARU of Pembroke Pines; The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale; Grey Goose Cherry Noir; Premier Beverage Company; Bud Light Platinum; Stephens Distributing Company; Weston Center for Plastic Surgery; Society Scene and Purina ONE.
