FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – United Way of Broward County is excited to host its first annual Wine, Women & Shoes event on Thursday, March 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gallery of Amazing Things in Dania Beach. Wine, Women & Shoes will serve as one of the organization's main fundraising events for the year.
Wine, Women & Shoes was created for those who enjoy fine wine, great style and supporting our community. The event provides an opportunity for key influencers, fashion tastemakers and charity supporters to join together for shopping and entertainment with the common purpose of building a better Broward County through United Way.
More than 350 attendees will enjoy a multi-designer marketplace where fashion partners will showcase the latest styles. Eight wineries from across the world will showcase their wines through tastings. The event will also include a silent auction and fashion show.
"Our goal is to raise funds that will have a direct impact on the residents of Broward County, while having a fun and stylish night," said Kathleen Cannon, President & CEO of United Way of Broward County.
Sobol-Perry Fashion Productions will produce the fashion show and is best known for the development and implementation of Miami Fashion Week®. Top local fashion designers Julian Chang, Kayce Armstrong of Art of Shade, Fabrizio de Castro, Crystal 4 U and Tiffany Chimere are some of the designers who will present their latest collections in women's wear and ultra-fashionable high heels for Wine, Women & Shoes.
Sole Men will be on hand to entertain guests and showcase apparel and shoes that are available for purchase.
Broward Health will serve as the presenting sponsor for the event. Additional sponsors include Morrison, Brown, Argiz and Farra, Tanya Bower, American Express, Berger Singerman and Greenspoon Marder. Local businesswomen Elizabeth Cambareri of JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Tanya Bower of Tripp Scott join United Way supporters Ronda Finkelstein and Julie Southern as event co-chairs.
Ticket prices for Wine, Women & Shoes are $125 for an individual ticket and $250 for a VIP ticket, which guarantees seats in the first two rows for the fashion show. The event is open to the public.
