FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Museum of Discovery and Science will host the Mercedes-Benz Fort Lauderdale 21st Century MODS Gala on Saturday, November 8, 2014.  The Museum will honor Mr. Terry Stiles for his more than 30 year involvement on the Museum’s Board of Trustees as well as his contributions to the greater Fort Lauderdale community.
 
This year’s gala is co-Chaired by Rick J. Burgess, Esq. of Gunster; Jim Ellis, president of Ellis Diversified; Tony Giordano, Market 5 President Mercedes-Benz; and Kenneth Stiles, VP of Stiles Corporation.  The emcee for the evening’s festivities is Louis Aguirre, host of Deco Drive, on WSVN Channel-7.
 
Guests will experience a world class event complete with a high-energy Cocktail Reception sponsored by Wells Fargo and an impressive Silent Auction.  Guests  will be delighted by the Hollywood glamour theme and escorted down the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’ to enjoy a decadent dinner & wine pairing designed by A Thierry’s Catering and complimented by Penfolds and Matua wines.  Later in the evening, the MODS crowd will dance the night away and compete for some luxurious Live Auction items including a lease on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz E350 Cabriolet convertible!

The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. Founded in 1976 as The Discovery Center, the nonprofit facility serves approximately 450,000 visitors annually.
