FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - The City of Fort Lauderdale will host the 2013 USTA National Open Clay Court Championships May 11-17 at the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center, located at 701 N.E. 12th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. This prestigious event is the first leg of a four tournament series to be played on all four surfaces. Singles events begin on Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. followed by doubles at 3 p.m. Mixed doubles events begin on Sunday, May 12 at 2 p.m.

The USTA National Open Clay Court Championships consists of a 128-player singles draw with a first match consolation and a 64-team doubles draw with no consolation. Awards will be given to winners in men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories.

The Jimmy Evert Tennis Center is the City of Fort Lauderdale's premier tennis facility and is recognized as one of the nation's finest. Its rich and distinguished history includes providing outstanding programming and tennis instruction to thousands of youth and adults and contributing to the development of numerous tennis professionals such as Chris Evert and Jennifer Capriati.
