The City of Fort Lauderdale would like to provide our neighbors with the following information regarding air traffic at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE).  The main east-west runway (Runway 8-26) at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) will be closed for routine maintenance work overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. August 5 through August 7, 2014 (weather permitting).

*    10 p.m. August 5 to 6 a.m. August 6
*    10 p.m. August 6 a.m. August 7
*    10 p.m. August 7 to 6 a.m. August 8 (if needed due to inclement weather)

During the closure period, the diagonal runway (Runway 13-31) will be utilized for aircraft operations. Neighbors living southeast and northwest of Executive Airport may notice a temporary increase in air traffic over their communities during this period. 

The City of Fort Lauderdale encourages neighbors to call the Airport's 24-hour Noise Abatement Hotline at (954) 828-6666 to report incidents of excessively loud aircraft.  Neighbors may also report aircraft noise using the online Aircraft Noise Reporting Form, located on the City's website at:www.fortlauderdale.gov/FXE/noise_report.htm Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
