Nevio Boccanera, Executive Director of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce SoutheastDania Beach, FL – DCOTA today announced that the Design Center of the Americas will be hosting International Design @ DCOTA, three full days of design demonstrations and discussions featuring top industry insiders.
Held on sequential Thursdays in July, International Design @ DCOTA is open for both design professions and design enthusiasts and there is no cost to attend.
Thursday, July 17 - Starting at 11:30 a.m.
Outdoor Design in South Florida
Brittany Kaplan of LUXE Interiors + Design Magazine will moderate a panel discussion among three outdoor design experts: Debra Yates and Stanley Matz, both previous award winners of DCOTA’s Stars of Design for Landscape Design and Architecture, and David Phillips of Lighting Concepts. Together, they will explore the various elements that work best for outdoor design in South Florida.

International Influence on South Florida
Drew Limsky of Modern Luxury will moderate an enlightening panel with international experts Nevio Boccanera, Executive Director of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Southeast; Carlos Mariaca; current Board Member and 2013 President of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida; and Jay Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. Together, they will discuss international business opportunities and challenges, relationships and design.

SieMatic Kitchens will host Executive Chef Michael Shikany of SHIKANY’s Restaurant for an experimental culinary experience, held within a fully renovated 4,000-square-foot warehouse. SHIKANNY’s Restaurant is known for its modernist approach, creating whimsical dishes with intricate finishes.

NEFF of Fort Lauderdale is joining with LUXE Interiors + Design Magazine to introduce its new showroom at DCOTA and will serve cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from Executive Chef Todd Lough of the Pelican Grand Beach Resort.
