FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – ArtServe recently held its annual volunteer appreciation reception to thank the nearly 90 volunteers who donated their time last season to Broward County’s premier arts service organization.
Volunteers enjoyed the elegant cocktail reception presented by the evening’s generous host, The Atlantic Hotel & Spa, and vied for door prizes provided by reception sponsors that included Elements Massage, Cinema Paradiso, ArtBlend Magazine, Slow Burn Theatre Company and Winterfest Boat Parade.
ArtServe volunteers greet gallery and exhibition visitors, assist at receptions and with gift shop sales, help administrative staff answer phones, do mailings and minor clerical work and coordinate service hours for volunteer students. Student volunteers are eligible to earn community service hours toward their graduation requirement.
ArtServe offers individuals and businesses a wide range of services, events, affordable facilities and collaborative opportunities that enrich our community, strengthen our economy, foster entrepreneurship and help artists have successful, sustainable careers.
