FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – While all the pets at the Humane Society of Broward County are special and hoping to find loving homes, today there are three special needs dogs who are hoping you will give them a chance.
Lulu (ID# 450731) is a 6 year young, 21 pound wire-haired Dachshund mix who was born blind.  She gets around just fine once she knows her surroundings, and is good with other pets.  Lulu is a real sweetheart.

Sunflower - ID# 450611Sunflower (ID# 450611) is an 11 week old, female Labrador mix who has a broken leg.  She has been in foster care and recovering well, but her new adoptive family will need to bring her back to the shelter for bandage changes.  (There is no additional cost for this)
 
Tank (ID# 451534) is a 4 year young, 130 pound Great Dane who is heartworm positive.  This big fellow is sweet and loves to lean against you.  Once Tank is adopted he will need to return to the shelter to complete his heartworm treatment.  (There is no additional cost for the treatment)

To see who needs a home visit www.humanebroward.com  The adoption fee for dogs under six months is $135 and over six months is $100.  There is no fee to adopt a cat over six months and cats under six months the adoption fee is $50.  All pets are spayed or neutered before going home, receive preliminary vaccinations, microchip and registration, heartworm test or feline leukemia test, 14 day health care plan courtesy of VCA Animal Hospital, a bag of Purina ONE pet food and more.
