FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – They may not fit in your purse to go to the mall and they might take up a lot of space in your bed, but big dogs need homes too!  The Humane Society of Broward County currently has more than 70 dogs that weigh 40 pounds or more that are looking for forever homes.  Can you make a big dog’s wish come true and give them the forever home they want?

Celebrate “Big Dogs” with the Humane Society of Broward County November 5 – 8th as we waive adoption fees on all dogs 40 pounds and over.  They are a variety of purebred and mixed breed dogs ranging from 40 pounds to 101 pounds all waiting to meet you today.

When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County all pets are spayed or neutered before going home.  In addition they receive preliminary vaccinations, a microchip, heart worm test for dogs over seven months, feline leukemia test for cats, a limited 10 day health care plan courtesy of VCA Animal Hospital, a 30 day trial membership in Trupanion pet insurance (restrictions apply) and more.  All adopted pets must leave with an appropriate collar and dogs must leave on a leash.  These are available for purchase at the shelter’s Pet Boutique.  For more information call the shelter today at 954-989-3977 ext 6.  The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, just a block west of I-95 and opens daily at 10:30 a.m.  To see who else needs a home visit www.humanebroward.com
