The City of Fort Lauderdale will temporarily reduce N.E. 13th Street to two lanes between N.E. 7th Avenue and Progresso Drive for an on-street parking analysis as part of the N.E. 13th Street Complete Streets Project. The City will begin installing temporary delineator bars, or short vertical plastic posts, to mark off parking areas on both sides of N.E. 13th Street beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 7 a.m. Installation is expected to be complete Thursday, May 21, 2015, and the analysis will end Tuesday, May 26, 2015. There is no cost to use the on-street parking.

The on-street parking analysis is part of a $1.5 million 13th Street Complete Streets Project funded by the Broward Redevelopment Program. The outcome of the on-street parking analysis, along with data from an upcoming technical lane reduction analysis, will be used to determine whether permanent on-street parking will be installed, which will include removing the temporary delineators and replacing them with curbing, lighting, and landscaping.

The N.E. 13th Street Complete Streets Project is consistent with the City's long-term vision of creating a better quality of life for our residents, spurring economic development, and leveraging the environmental benefits of a multimodal, Complete Streets transportation system that provides safe access for users of all ages and abilities.
