Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - City of Fort Lauderdale crews are currently performing emergency repairs to a 16-inch water main break near Bayview Drive and N.E. 37 Street. Water valves are currently being closed to isolate the break and stop the flow of water from the pipe. Once the break is isolated, crews will begin digging to expose the pipe, assess the damage, and perform the necessary repairs. Customers in the vicinity of the impacted area will experience service interruptions and low water pressure while the repair work is taking place.

As a precaution, the City of Fort Lauderdale is issuing a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY to the impacted properties highlighted on the map below. The general boundaries of the Precautionary Boil Water Notice are NE 38 Street (north); NE 33 Court (south); the Intracoastal Waterway (east); and Bayview Drive (west).

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until two consecutive days of passing test results are received as per Florida Administrative Code.

Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Neighbors with questions may contact the City's 24-Hour Neighbor Call Center at 954-828-8000.
