The Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) crossing on NE 56 Street between N Dixie Highway and NE 14 Avenue will be closed starting at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27 through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, April 29. to allow workers to safely perform necessary repairs to the railroad crossing. Workers will rehabilitate the existing track to repair defective rails and replace the crossing surface to improve ride quality.

DETOUR INFORMATION:

Eastbound NE 56 Street

• Vehicles traveling eastbound on NE 56 Street will be detoured to E Cypress Creek Road or E Commercial Boulevard at N Dixie Highway.

Westbound NE 56 Street

• Westbound traffic will be detoured to E Cypress Creek Road or E Commercial Boulevard at NE 18 Avenue. Local traffic can use NE 15 Avenue to either E Cypress Creek Road or E Commercial Boulevard to travel westbound.
