FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—On Wednesday, January 25, PAWS, an auxiliary of the Humane Society of Broward County, hosted their 6th annual Angel PAWS Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Coral Ridge Country Club.   The sold-out event began with a cocktail hour and a silent auction that featured a variety of vintage designer handbags and shoes, such as Chanel, Prada and Fendi.  The silent auction also included designer jewelry and accessories. The guests then found their seats and enjoyed a delicious lunch while listening to the tunes provided by SARZ Entertainment.  Soon after, honorary emcee, Jacey Birch, of WPLG Channel 10 gained everyone’s attention and the fashion show was underway.  Guests were dazzled by the latest fashions courtesy of Bloomingdale’s Boca Raton.
 
Another highlight of the luncheon was the Humane Society of Broward County’s mobile adoptions team who had pets available for adoption.  These adorable pets also “struck a pose” in the fashion show as they joined the models during the final look of the show.
 
A prize drawing was also held during the luncheon. The lucky winners won fabulous items including a hot pink Michael Kors clutch donated by Bloomingdale’s Boca Raton, a pet portrait by Jerry Thierolf, a USA Transportation limo package and the grand prize which was a stunning GCI Quartz Fashion Watch courtesy of Gem Couture, Inc.; designs by Melody.
 
Event chairperson, Susan Smith, was delighted to announce that the popular luncheon netted over $59,000 in support of the Humane Society of Broward County.
