The presidential preference primary election is set for Tuesday, Jan. 31.

In addition to the Republican presidential candidates, eight municipalities will have candidates and/or questions on the ballot. They are:

• Fort Lauderdale

• Hillsboro Beach

• Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

• Lighthouse Point

• Parkland

• Pembroke Pines

• Sea Ranch Lakes and

• Wilton Manors.

Voting hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voted Absentee Ballots must be received by the Elections

Office no later than 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in

order to be counted.
