The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is proud to partner with four Fort Lauderdale homeowners' associations regarding a "Neighborhood Action Walk" on Saturday, January 28th, 2012, at approximately 11:00 A.M.
The Neighborhood Action Walk was created by neighborhood activists looking to create a safer community in which they reside. The four homeowners' associations participating in the walk are as follows:
• Lake Ridge H.O.A.
• Middle River Terrace H.O.A.
• Poinsettia Heights H.O.A.
• South Middle River H.O.A.
The homeowners' associations will be walking with members of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department throughout their specific neighborhood, eventually meeting up at Middle River Terrace Park. Middle River Terrace Park is located at 1329 Northeast 7th Avenue in the City of Fort Lauderdale.
When the four groups converge at Middle River Terrace Park, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be showcasing the newly created Neighborhood Action Team, Mobile Command Unit, Dive Team and Bomb Squad to the participants.
This event exemplifies the drive between the community and police to interact as one, further opening up lines of communication between the two. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department prides itself on maintaining a safe environment for our residents and nurturing the positive relationship we have with the community we serve.
If you are a member of the listed homeowners' associations, please contact your association President to get involved with the Neighborhood Action Walk
