FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- The annual event Fashion Forward for PAWS, held on October 16 in conjunction with Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale to benefit the Humane Society of Broward County, treated a sell-out gathering to another fabulous afternoon of fashion and socializing. Chairpersons Christy Gumberg and Julie Strauch were delighted with the success of the event, which raised over $31,000 for the shelter's programs and services.

Guests at Fashion Forward for PAWS initially enjoyed a cocktail hour where they could try their luck at a Chinese Auction. Mobile adoptions were held on site and, happily, several shelter animals found new homes that day.
Attendees also had an opportunity to purchase prize drawing tickets for the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree at Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale. The lucky winner, Betsy Marolf, was thrilled with her prize!

A delicious gourmet sit-down luncheon was followed by the much-anticipated fashion presentation, which showcased some of the latest Fall trends courtesy of Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale. The traditional grand finale of models strutting down the runway -- adorable puppies in tow -- was a fabulous finish. Guests took home a special gift bag courtesy of CHANEL, and VIP guests also received an additional gift from Tease Salon.

Sponsors of Fashion Forward for PAWS included: Lorraine Thomas, Christy & Andy Gumberg, ACURE Organics, Jeannie & Steve Hudson, Julie & Dr. Axel Strauch, Mary & Richard Kazares, Fashion for PAWS (Sylvia Sperry, Suzie Smith, Elaine Johnson, Tari Collins, Margaret Meldeau, Mildred Mariner, Christine Forman, Tara Forman, Nicole Fratarcangelli, Lucy Weber, Mary Anne Richter), Ingrid & Brian Poulin, Dawn & Peter Dellapina, Stiles Corporation, Friends of PAWS (Cindy Caird, Susan Greaton, Melody Saleh, Maria Favre, Jonelle Milton, Linda Gazie, Tammy Tubandt, Judy Simkowitz, Fran Custer, Gabrielle Wellner, Deborah Day), Ann's Florist, Premier Beverage Company, Tease Salon, CHANEL and Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale.
