The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is proud to participate in a charity basketball game with the “PIIK” (Prince II Kings) non-profit charity. The charity basketball game will take place on Friday, May 18th, 2012, at 5:00 P.M.
The game will be played at Lauderdale Manors Park, located at 1340 Chateau Park Drive in the City of Fort Lauderdale. “Prince II Kings” is a non-profit charitable organization that provides free mentoring, both educationally and socially, to at-risk youth in the Fort Lauderdale community.
The purpose of the charity basketball match is to help strengthen the ties and open up a line of communication between at-risk youth in the community and the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Youth participants in the “Prince II Kings” program will be playing against members of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department in a friendly competition.
All members of the public are welcome to attend and admission is free. Food and refreshments will also be served at the event.
Anyone interested in attending the charity basketball game should contact Sergeant Ivory Nelson at 954-828-5641 or “Prince II Kings” Youth Relation Specialist Sharon Major-Hughes at 954-821-1396.
